Personally, the main purpose of these custom particles is for the simple, FPS friendly, crit boost effect, since the original one lowers the FPS down a bit because of the so called "sparks." Trust me, it works, and it's helpful for those with not-so good gaming computers. The Medi beams are great too, and it's a good thing that we can add ether just the crit boost effect, or the entire package.

Tried hard to make a plugin out of this for Vday (hearts instead of +s) but its all client side.. unfort.

Nope, all handled client side, as of right now it is impossible to intercept using source mod.

Too bad. I was messing with the particle editor, made some cool beams for the medigun.

Oh, here's a thought. You can change blood and body parts, how about instead of gifts, hearts, teddy bears, and candies?

Yeah, I can get custom particles working... but its not fail proof and its not practical to get onto clients computers.  Unfortunately Sad

I'll look into the gibs thing.
