Hi everybody!

Since I share my Steam account with some of my kids, I'm looking for a way to set my Player Name automatically so they don't play under Material Defender.  Tried different things with no luck (config.cfg, autoexec.cfg, launch options within Steam shortcut...)Undecided

Any idea?

Well, if it's TF2 that they're playing, you can set up a setinfo name "namegoeshere" in the console.
That command changes your in-game name, but not your Steam name.
It depends on what they're playing?
You can always do it manually.  Lips sealed

Just tell them to always do the setinfo thing when they start a source game.

Or shift+tab settings and change the name

The only problem with the ' setinfo name "NAME" '  is that it resets at the beginning of each map but this is still probably the best thing to use...just bind it to a key and get them to press their key every map.
